Many preclinical studies involve the use of rodent test animals. Depending on the study, some of these animals will feature suppressed immune systems, and will be particularly vulnerable to contact with pathogens.

This underlines the need to preserve the sterility of both cages and test equipment, and reduce the risk of any detrimental effect on animal health.

Typically, this will consist of using cage covers to seal off the cage’s contents from any potential sources of contamination.

Ludomed offers high-quality cage covers, which

facilitate:

  • The preservation of sterilized cages after autoclave cycle.

  • The increased isolation of allergens.

  • The isolation of animals or equipment from technical and non-technical staff.
