Ludomed’s rat jacket with integrated pocket builds on our flagship restraint design by adding a mesh fabric pocket for secure device placement. This design enables researchers to attach telemetry units, infusion pumps, or other small instruments to the animal without compromising comfort or data integrity.
Each model is anatomically fitted for all common rat strains, such as Sprague Dawley, Wistar, and Long Evans, ensuring secure restraint while preserving natural movement and welfare standards.
The integrated pocket is placed along the dorsal region for optimal device stability and minimal behavioral interference. Its contour-aligned shape prevents device shifting, aiding in accurate monitoring and ethical animal handling practices in GLP-compliant labs.
Key Applications
Telemetry and Monitoring
Protect and stabilize externally mounted sensors or transmitters.Behavioral and Pharmacological Studies
Enable restraint without sedation in longitudinal assessments.
Animal Welfare & Refinement
Minimizes stress by eliminating adhesives or external wraps.
Soft contact points and adjustable fit reduce the risk of skin abrasions.
Allows quick access for inspection or adjustments without removing the jacket.
Compliant with the 3Rs principles for refinement and reduced handling.
Ordering & Customization
Jackets are available in standard sizes for small, medium, and large rats. Pockets can be positioned and sized based on your device or protocol. For custom solutions, please contact info@ludomed.ca.
